Poulakis’s career began in law enforcement, where he served as a Task Force Agent with U.S. Customs, combating narcotics trafficking and protecting national security. His valor and dedication were recognized when he was awarded the prestigious Medal of Valor in 2005 for life-saving actions. His time in law enforcement not only strengthened his leadership abilities but also deepened his commitment to justice and public service. 

Following his tenure in law enforcement, Poulakis leveraged his business acumen to revolutionize the gambling industry. As a pioneer in video gambling in Illinois, he played a crucial role in shaping state gambling laws and expanding the industry. His business success led to the growth of 21 gaming locations, which he later sold to a private equity firm in 2019. Transitioning into online gambling, he has become a leading entrepreneur in both the U.S. and European markets, setting new standards in the industry.
